Right, then...
Enjoying a nice Stella Artois. GF and daughter are out of town visiting her folks and it’s me and the dogs. Being an introvert, this a fine situation, despite loving the GF and daughter.
I’m thinking about the Outback I just bought and how much I like it: It’s smooth, quiet, powerful and comfortable. I’m also thinking that for approximately the same money, I could have bought an early 70's Land Rover, which is none of those thing, b ut: Land Rover. Not that I’d ever trade for one, but maybe I’ll pick one up when I retire to tool around town in. Then I’d be that crazy old guy down the block with the weird truck. That thought pleases me.

Like that thought, but this fantasy involves our moving out of the Bay Area, so I can afford to buy a place with a garage. But again, I like that thought...

WTF I’ll join in. I’m drinking a very, very good beer that my neighbor’s brother makes.
One of our dogs is half in my lap and my beautiful wife is asleep on the couch next to me. Life is good here.

Fair point, that. Though I figure that the LR is much better off road than the Subaru...not that the Subaru is bad, necessarily, but that the LR is so damn good...
